Life Terra is one of the largest climate action initiatives in Europe. Led by the Life Terra Foundation, it brings together 15 expert organisations from 8 countries.
Life Terra is based on the knowledge that tree planting is one of the most cost-effective nature-based solutions for sequestering carbon. As part of a multidisciplinary mitigation strategy, tree planting plays an essential role in the fight against climate change and the devastation it causes (heat waves, droughts, loss of biodiversity, desertification, erosion, floods, etc.). Life Terra is intended to be the link that drives citizens to plant 500 million trees in Europe. By harnessing and monitoring the mechanism that nature already uses to sequester carbon, Life Terra enables citizens to take urgent action against the climate crisis.
